Cheers to 10 Years!
REFLECTION
This 1 Thessalonians passage has been a guide for us in the Trinitas community for some time now. Most recently, it was affirmed as we celebrated our 10-year ANNIVERSARY! That’s right! Cheers to 10 years! We can hardly believe it has been that long on one hand, and on the other, it seems like it has been much longer than that!
As we celebrated this milestone anniversary, we were reminded to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks always as we move forward into the future. In addition, we felt the Spirit encourage us, as we hear Paul encouraging the churches in the New Testament, to hold to the traditions and teachings we have been given.
Therefore, as we both celebrate the previous 10 years and look forward to the next 10, we do so rejoicing at what the Spirit of God has done, praying continually to hold to the foundational traditions and teachings we have been given as followers of Jesus, and giving thanks always for the beautiful, kingdom-oriented community God has been shaping.
Especially at this time of Thanksgiving, we also want to say “Thank YOU” for all the ways you have participated in making the last 10 years possible. We are so grateful to the entire community of people who believe in and support the work of Trinitas Communities. Whether you are a fellow pastor, city missionary, community on mission leader, a friend of Trinitas who partners in financial ways, a prayer partner, or a relational support to our family on mission, you are a vital part of the mission to form followers of Jesus who bring heaven on earth through communities on mission.
We are grateful for your support in the past, and we look forward to continued partnership in the future.
ACTION
As you continue to live out the will of God in your life: rejoicing always, praying continually, and giving thanks, what are the ways that God is moving YOU, in your own discipleship journey, into greater alignment with God’s purposes for your life? Who are the people, places, or purposes God is giving YOU a passion for? How might it look to take the next step in following the way of Jesus?
Furthermore, as we enter into the next 10 years of Trinitas Communities, how might God be inviting you to be part of this story God is writing? However you engage, your gift of partnership is an answer to Jesus' prayer… “…your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven...”
PRAYER
God, we ask that you would speak to each of us. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear where your Spirit is leading. How are you calling each of us to engage in your mission in the world? Remind us on the journey to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances. These practices keep us rooted in the identity we have been given and keep us moving forward in your desire for your kingdom to come and your will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Much love,
Pastors Jaime and Jad Levi
